Silver State Trails

The south east component of the Battle Born Trail system all reachable from the communities in Lincoln County - and is the first Congressionally esignated OHV Trail in the United States!  

If you complete over 200 miles of the Silver S, Send us a track file .gpx, or .kmz, and you will get a free sticker for this trail.

Ready for a ride?

The Silver State trails total about 250 miles of marked OHV trails in Lincoln County Nevada.  There is plenty to ride and see,  plus if you cross over US 93 to the east you will find plenty of other roads and trails not included in that 250 miles.  Head south to Delamar, or all the way to Mesquite!

Alamo

 The town of Alamo is located in southern Lincoln County, just 90 miles north of Las Vegas. This friendly community includes a grocery store, churches, motels, service stations, emergency services and a landing strip for small private airplanes. It is the social and business center of the rich Pahranagat Valley.

Caliente

Located in southeastern Nevada, the quiet town of Caliente is the only incorporated community in Lincoln County. Evidence of the historical roots of this railroad town can be seen in its mission-style Caliente Railroad station. Services include restaurants, gas stations, motels, a small casino and a variety of stores.

Panaca

 A quaint Mormon farming community dating back to the 1860’s, Panaca is the oldest surviving town in eastern Nevada. Rich in tradition and agricultural beauty, many of today’s townspeople are direct descendants of the original settlers. Visitors interested in 19th century architecture can enjoy a variety of beautifully designed buildings. Panaca is a favorite stop for people traveling to Cathedral Gorge State Park which offers year-round camping and exploration. Many nearby ghost towns can also be explored. The Lincoln County Airport is situated about two miles west of Panaca and can accommodate small aircraft.

Pioche

Much in contrast to its colorful past, Pioche today attracts new residents with its friendly, picturesque hometown appeal. Pioche is the Lincoln County seat, the courthouse a prominent fixture of the town. With full amenities, Pioche offers good food, lodging, shopping, automotive and emergency services. The town’s recreation center includes park and picnic facilities, a swimming pool and a baseball diamond. A nine-hole golf course is also open for the avid golfer.
